KATE HAWTHORNE is the author of the first edition of The Young Person's Guide to the Internet, which was published in 2001. She runs Hatricks Public Relations Limited and is a lecturer in business studies. Before turning to PR and writing, Kate was a music producer, with a hit list of over 1500 commercials for film and TV. A documentary based on Kate's work and experience, The Jingle People is now in preparation while her next book, The Art of Jingle Writing will be published in November 2006. She is mother to Laetitia, who was born in 1989.
DANIELA SHEPPARD is an experienced webmaster, web editor and internet researcher. A graduate in business studies, Daniela has worked in Eastern Europe and South Africa, where she managed websites that promote different aspects of the UK. She is mother to Ana, who was born in 1989.
